Have you researched everything about your items? Typing the names of these items into a search engine might teach you something new. If someone else is selling the same thing, bring out the hidden weapons and provide more information about the product than they do to show your knowledge and improve the product description.
Do you monitor your competition? Watch the items that are similar to yours and monitor how they selling and the asking prices. Starting a fixed price auction for $95 is pointless when someone else is selling the same item for $75.
Have you got photographs of the items? Use a digital camera to capture the items that you want to sell as it is true that a picture is worth more than a thousand words. If you do not have camera, it will me a good investment once you get hooked on eBay.
Are you emailing your sellers? Sending a brief service email when transactions are performed will leave a lasting impression with the buyer that may encourage future investment. Firstly it is great to remind them about quick payment and thank them for their interest and then send another message once payment has been received and specify postage details. These courtesy mails prevent many problems and promote networking.

Also, are you checking your emails regularly? Potential buyers can email about anything at any time and they expect instantaneous answers. If you do not answer these queries, the potential buyer could go elsewhere instead of buying your item.
Do your item description pages have enough detail to tell buyers all they need to know? If you are offering international delivery, then its will help you and the buyer to make a list of the charges to different counties. Display these charges on each auction as well ash any special conditions. These conditions and terms include refund policies, postage problems and other relevant information.
Have you been wrapping the items correctly? In order to create the best impression, use appropriately sized envelopes, proper parcels, bubble wrap and avoid getting the item damaged. For a more professional impression, print labels instead of hand-writing addresses and use first class post. Cutting costs may reduce your credibility.
Do you follow up? Send a courtesy email after posting an item to confirm that they have received their purchased item. Although it may be an opportunity to let the customer complain, you will help the majority and your professionalism and after-sales service will be appreciated.
